With the transmedia project Sleep For Earth, the ambition is to stage the audience as active participants in the narrative, inviting them to take on the role of a sleeper. This approach involves, on the one hand, paying attention to the nature of the experience, which must respect the reclining position inherent to the state of stasis, and on the other hand, staging the group of sleepers in such a way as to establish the collective experience as a scenographic device.
A first iteration of this approach was carried out during the creation of a scenographic space for the exhibition at Le Cube in Garges. The installation consists of a picture rail combined with a platform supporting eight reclining seats, allowing users to access media while in the sleeping position: the video of the opening conference, podcasts, and the XR experience. This approach allows the experience to be shared with a specific audience for exhibitions.
