Drops
Presented as part of the *CROSS* exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Taipei, the *Drops* installation creates a poetic dialogue between materiality and abstraction. The physical space manifests on the floor as a broad horizontal band of white sand. A vertical projection covers the wall, gently fading out as it meets this surface. The immateriality of the image and the physical presence of the floor resonate along this boundary. The projection, driven by generative graphic programming, features a simple form—the circle—with each iteration linked to a specific sound frequency. As the frequencies accumulate, they create a moiré effect, with their layering heightening the sense of depth. In counterpoint, a vertical screen displays the composition’s programming parameters in real time as disembodied mathematical values.
