The renovation of the Musée de l’Homme provided an opportunity to revamp its permanent exhibition. The new display is structured around a set of themes concisely embodied by six visual sequences conceived and created by Active Creative Design. Historically, the Museum’s mission has been to link its unique collections with a research center grounded in humanist values. These six graphic sequences illustrate this relationship through simple imagery, acting as a series of six visual inquiries that echo the questions posed in Paul Gauguin’s famous painting: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going?

Each animation is presented as a continuous motion-design sequence that develops a simple visual concept. The sequences are synchronized to offer a seamless experience to visitors as they move along the length of the entrance hall.
